About me
Hello! I’m Julia, the heart and soul behind this blog. As a mother of two incredible kids, I’ve journeyed through the unpredictable yet fulfilling world of parenting, learning and growing every step of the way.
Parenting is an adventure with its unique highs and lows. It’s a journey that has transformed me in ways I never imagined, teaching me about the depths of patience, the power of love, and the importance of living in the moment.
In this blog, I share my experiences, insights, and the countless lessons I’ve learned. And some of lates news and informations of activities which kids can have fun. From the sleep-deprived nights of infancy to the challenging yet rewarding teenage years, I cover it all. My aim is to provide a supportive community for fellow parents, where we can share our stories, exchange advice, and remind each other that we’re not alone in this beautiful chaos called parenting.
Why Kangaroo?
It is not my last name.
Among the various parenting styles in nature, kangaroos offer fascinating insights into caregiving that can surprisingly resonate with human parents.
The Kangaroo Way of Parenting:
1. Nurturing from the Start:
Kangaroos are known for their unique gestation and birth process. A newborn kangaroo, or joey, is born underdeveloped and immediately crawls into its mother’s pouch for further growth and protection. This parallels the human concept of the ‘fourth trimester’, where newborns thrive on close contact, warmth, and constant care.
Lesson for Parents: The early stage of parenthood is about providing unwavering support and a safe environment for our children to grow and develop.
2. Adaptability and Resilience:
A kangaroo mother’s pouch is not just a cozy hideout; it’s a dynamic environment that adapts to the growing needs of the joey. It can tighten or loosen, regulate temperature, and even adjust the nutritional content of its milk.
Lesson for Parents: Adaptability and resilience are key in parenting. As our children grow, their needs change, and being flexible and responsive to these changes is crucial.
3. Encouraging Independence:
As joeys grow, they begin to venture out of the pouch. Yet, they return when they feel threatened or need comfort. This gradual process of exploration and independence, balanced with the safety of the pouch, is remarkable.
Lesson for Parents: Encouraging independence in our children is vital. It’s about finding that balance between giving them the freedom to explore and being their safe haven when they need us.
4. Lifelong Bonding:
The bond between a kangaroo mother and her joey doesn’t end when the joey leaves the pouch. They continue to maintain a close relationship, showcasing the importance of long-term emotional bonds.
Lesson for Parents: Building a strong, loving bond with our children lays the foundation for a lifelong relationship.
